Volunteers

The Anchor provides a wonderful opportunity for people of faith or those looking to gain experience in Salford’s newest media environment to be salt and light right in the centre of MediaCityUK for as little as two hours a week.

Do you have a listening ear, a warm heart and an open mind?
There are many different ways you can contribute to Anchor MediaCityUK. Whether it’s a passion for writing, a listening ear or making a good cup of tea. You can help us in every way. Just let us know what you want to do and we’ll see if we can accommodate you.

Are you great at seeing the funny side of life and good with social media?
Do you love working with local community groups who tell it like it is? Or just like to be up to date on the Internet and needing some extra experience to get into work?

Are you a social satellite, great at organising and hosting events?

We can always use help setting up, planning and running the many events that we host from Big Business Breakfast to our film night. Feel that you have that extra special organizing skill? Don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Do you enjoy interfaith dialogue and are you willing to take risks?
From anyone who loves a good debate to people wanting to help the public. From teens in education to the veterans of our town we always welcome here at Anchor MediaCityUK.

Is a bacon butty with a builder your idea of heaven?

Good in a crisis? Want to help build a great relationship between MediaCityUK and Salford as a town? Do you have ideas you want to try or opinions you want to voice about MediaCityUK?

Are you a prayer-warrior?
Do you enjoy leading creative acts of worship? All faiths are welcome here. We even have our own gospel choir who manage to belt of some of Bob Marley’s greatest hits.

We’re not all about faith here at Anchor MediaCityUK. We want everyone to get the best of out Salford’s newest addition and we have a passion to help you achieve your goals.

Maybe you have no idea what you'd like to do but feel excited about the opportunities MediaCityUK is bringing to Salford residents?
