Students

Salford University LogoSalford University's School of Media, Music and Performance is one of the largest of it's kind in the UK supporting over 2100 students.

With a wide range of innovative courses from foundation to postgraduate levels, Salford University boasts an outstanding reputation and has been described as 'world-leading' and 'internationally excellent' in the field of research.

Courses range from Journalism and Criminology to Computer and Video Games, Popular Musicology, Performance Arts and Dance right through to Postgraduate MA courses in Animation and Post Production for TV & Film.

The University prides itself on the holistic care and support the students receive alongside an excellent education, and in their new building students will have access to the full range of student support services available on the main campus right here in the foyer of their new building.

Here at The Anchor we want to make sure that students are as well supported as they are on the main Pendleton Campus and are working with Student Support Services and the University Counsellor to provide continuing pastoral care on site.

The MediaCityUK Chaplain is a member of the University Chaplaincy Team and is here to support students on site for social as well as pastoral needs. Students can drop in to morning prayer in the Universities Prayer room on a daily basis at 9am, or come to mid-week eucharist and lunch Wednesdays at 12.30pm.

At other times, Rev'd Hayley can be either be found on site in The Anchor on the second floor of The Pie Factory or by telephoning 07587 636850.
