One Star Fish at a Time

The Anchor in conjunction with Skills-Solution Eccles, Salford City Council's Skills Team, Salford City College and Salford University have been funded by the Church Urband Fund for a skills for work project.

This month we've had four new volunteers make up our team of seven who range from community workers with a lifetime's experience to undergraduates on project placements, BBC staff and Skills for Work and college work placements.

Lets Go Global, Trafford Council are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and organised freelance project manager to manage and deliver Looping the Loop. Looping the Loop.
Trafford Council is one of a handful of Boroughs nationally to be hosting our Games outside of London. Manchester United Old Trafford stadium will be the official venue for the football competition of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

This is really exciting and we want to make sure local people really benefit from the opportunities our Games bring. Trafford Council, Lets Go Global, Walk the Plank, The Quays and other partners have developed an exciting new project called Looping the Loop, as part of the Cultural Olympiad – the UK’s cultural programme for London 2012.
